AMV welcomes two new bloggers (and Popcorn Popping)

You’ve already been introduced to Anneke Majors, AMV’s new visual arts-focused blogger.

I’m happy to announce that Eric Thompson has joined AMV. His emphasis will be film. Although, of course, all of co-bloggers range among the various aspects and genres of arts and culture that follow under the purview of AMV.

We’re delighted to have fresh blood and are excited to expand on our commitment to deliver the best news, commentary and reviews on Mormon arts and culture.

For Anneke’s and Eric’s bios and posts, see the AMV contributors page.

I’d also like to announce that Popcorn Popping will now be found at We are working to revive the site — and in fact may be posting fresh content before the end of the month. For now, it will look the same as it did, but we will be looking at ways to better co-brand AMV and Popcorn Popping. The prior url has been forwarded to the new location, and all the archives have been imported. You will need to update the post feed and comments feed if that is how you have been reading PP.

Popcorn Popping will also function more like a blog — the active editors will have fairly free reign to post what they want, and new work will be posted as editors have time to prepare work for publication. Sadly, we probably won’t be able to spend as much time working with writers on rewrites. But if you want that kind of feedback, ask us and we’ll see what we can do.

  1. Thanks, William. It’s great to see PP alive and kicking, and I think it deserves the focus that AMV can give it.

  2. Awesome.

I was looking for a post by Annegb over at Popcorn Popping and was disappointed to find the site down. I learned something was going on with Popcorn Popping but didn’t know what … so it’s cool to see this happening.
