The Association for Mormon Letter’s new quarterly newsletter Mosaic is now available. Please note that you’ll need Adobe Reader and it’s an 8-10 minute download if you are on dial-up. The newsletter is probably of more interest to serious Mo-lit readers and those in the Mormon publishing industry (or who aspire to be in the industry), but it’s worth checking out. Features include a Mormon fiction top 10 list, short blurbs on all of the members the new AML publications staff, and resources for Mormon book groups.
However, may I suggest that any AMV readers who are looking to dip their toes in the refreshing pool of Mormon letters start with a subscription to Irreantum, the AML’s literary magazine. It’s chock full of short stories, poetry, personal essays and reviews. Much more exciting than the newsletter.
Meanwhile, Deseret Book has hopped on the Mormon blog bandwagon. DB’s Mormon Life Web site now features blogs by inspirational speaker and author John Bytheway and musician Michael McClean.
